hi larry. forgot to say that villiers engines are still produced today in india. they bought all tooling when villiers uk packed up. so there is no reason why parts cannot be purchased from there also.

HI LARRY. I HAD A ROYAL ENFIELD BULLET ABOUT 16 YEARS AGO. IT WAS ONE WHICH WAS MADE IN INDIA WHICH THEY SELL NEW. THEY ALSO BOUGHT THE ORIGINAL TOOLING WHEN ROYAL ENFIED PACKED UP try this search ENFIELD OF INDIA and you can see what bikes they still produce today

Very interesting engine setup! I look forward to seeing it upon completion, which as you've demonstrated in the past, won't take too long. :)

John, I'm really intrigued by that engine. I poked around on the net and all the Villiers MK25 engines come up as 4-strokes. So, yours has one intake and two exhaust ports? Do I have that right?

hi larry.yes it has 1 intake and 2 exhaust ports.this engine is 250cc 2 stroke and was primerally used for road racing in the uk in the roaring twentys then this machine was developed by allen and simmonds, who where the first people to produce a pedestrian garden tractor in 1926 this model was produced for ten solid years and when i have it restored it could possibly make big money. the serial no is 530 and as far as i am aware it is the oldest one surviving up to now. larry this model is a MK 25 A thats where you have got it mixed up cheers
